We have just listed some new CSA material. Please look under currency, Confederate. We have no copies left of the Fricke book on CSA currency, which is now out of print.
Hated to miss the ANA's early show at Phoenix. Hope all attendees had a good time.
At the Florida United Numismatists' convention, we saw a lot of friends and signed up some new members for the Society of Paper Money Collectors ( see www.spmc.org ) while there. Also, we had the opportunity to attend the town hall meeting for the American Numismatic Association - for more about that check the numismatic press; a lot of interesting questions and answers at that forum. There will be another similar meeting at Phoenix in March, stop by the ANA table in advance and ask for a copy of the agenda.
We'd like to thank all those who waited for their orders, for their patience, while we were away because of the death of Claud's son, just before the holidays. We also appreciate the many kind expressions of sympathy received. We hope we are back to as near normal operations now, as possible. We are told that time heals, and it must be so.
Those who have followed ANA news on this page will agree with the following: A good strong board of new candidates can make a needed change. Let us wish them well, those new governors, who have much to accomplish. We were happy to be at Milwaukee to see this new board sworn in. God bless Adna Wilde, who despite health problems attended the meeting with the previous board and convinced them that the proposed changes to the by-laws were unconstitutional and could not be made. Do keep in touch with the new board members and encourage them in their representation of us, the members. Also, we volunteered to serve on the ANA membership committee. Please email any questions or concerns you might have. Working together we can try to make a difference. We still believe there is much benefit to be derived from membership in the American Numismatic Association.
