Carolina. We are uncertain of when it was done; there is a seal reading
"Tryon Palace Restoration" so may have been done as a fund

given. Quite lovely, it was made in England, by Wedgwood. No chips,
no problems, like new. Diameter is approximately 4 3/8".
We just obtained this, but we did sell one not so long ago, on ebay, which we
think was the same as this one. ebay soon, if no bid

Such an historical document, this is from the United States Senate and dated
July 12, 1939. It refers to a pension for the widow of Lloyd W. Higgins,
who had been a Private 1st. Independent Battery, U.S. Colored Light
Artillery. The letter goes on to discuss that if she is proven to be a
Civil War widow she should get an increase in her pension, from $30 a month to
$40 a month! The signer of this letter is Arthur Capper, who was a
two-term governor of Kansas and a five term senator. The Kansas State
Historical Society has much information about him if you wish to learn
more. soon to ebay unless you offer
A financial document from Georgia, dated 1832, at the capitol of Milledgeville

A letter dated November 18, 1918. It was written and signed by the
President, Charles Monroe Price, of the First National Bank of Brooksville,
Fla. Note the engraved eagle with shield and capitol building in a circle
containing the bank's name. A sl mark from old paper clip. The
letter refers to a talk he had with "our County Judge .... necessary for
Mrs. King to send a certified copy of the papers appointing her
executrix...". Apparently there was some property and a bank balance
she was to be in charge of. Nice overall condition. We have never
had anything from this bank, even a check, that we recollect. SOLD
